MWL and VINCI go head-to-head on the pitch
Two football teams made up of staff from Whiston hospital battled it out on the pitch yesterday to raise money for MWL NHS Charity.
Team MWL's squad comprised of Trust staff from various departments at Whiston, whilst Team VINCI were represented by staff from VINCI Facilities, the hospital's buildings and maintenance contractor.
With a coveted trophy and bragging rights at stake, both teams really gave it their all. After a tense and exciting 90 minutes, it was Team VINCI who emerged victorious!
A big thank you to all the players, the referee, Prescot Cables FC for the use of their pitch and facilities, and everyone who came to support the teams. The total amount raised from the match was £703.05. What a result!
