Kirsty smashes 10k challenge in mum's memory

A huge thank you and well done to Kirsty Evans, who raised a brilliant £1,165 for the MWL NHS Charity by smashing her very first 10k at the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run!

Kirsty took on the run in memory of her mum, who sadly passed away five years ago from a sudden brain haemorrhage. Her mum was looked after with such kindness and care at Southport Hospital, and Kirsty chose to support Mersey and West Lancashire NHS Charity as a way of giving back to the incredible teams who helped her family during such a tough time.

Every step of that 10k was for her mum, not just because Kirsty hit a huge personal milestone, but because running was something they used to do together.
