Cycling laps for the Lilac Centre
A huge thank you to John O'Brien who raised an amazing £1,295.75 for the Lilac Centre at St Helens Hospital.
From 19th to 25th May, John took on the challenge of cycling 56 laps of Carr Mill Dam in 7 days in honour of his close friend Ian's 56th birthday. The challenge was inspired by the outstanding care and support Ian received from the team at the Lilac Centre during his cancer treatment.
This remarkable achievement is a wonderful example of friendship, determination and giving back to a service that means so much to patients and their families. The funds raised will help MWL NHS Charity continue supporting the Lilac Centre and enhancing the care and experience of those undergoing cancer treatment.
