We're delighted to share a heart-warming update on how charitable donations are making a real difference to patient care across MWL.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, MWL NHS Charity has granted in the last year a combined funding of over £12,500 to the Burney Breast Unit and the Burns & Plastic Surgery Department. The money has gone towards the purchase of nearly 700 specialist post-operative and reconstructive bras for patients recovering from surgery.

Whether a patient is undergoing breast cancer treatment and / or reconstructive surgery, the bras play a vital role in healing. They provide essential support, reduce discomfort, and protect surgical sites - helping to ease their recovery.

By funding these items, MWL NHS Charity is helping ensure that every patient receives the comfort, care and reassurance they deserve. 

This is only possible because of the kindness of our community. Every donation makes a meaningful difference to patients and their families. Together, we're helping them to feel supported, cared for and confident on their journey to recovery.
